The volume chronicles the life and military feats of Julius Caesar through an erudite narrative structured in 23 untitled chapters and enriched by 152 engravings and 5 original lithographs.

Printed in only 499 numbered copies, Giulio Cesare is a rare collector’s piece, conceived for bibliophiles and admirers of Roman history. Its 200 pages are entirely handcrafted on 220 gsm artisan cotton paper, hand-sewn using wooden frames in keeping with the ancient traditions of Italian bookbinding.

The red leather covers, lined with Italian moiré silk. Two sculptural copper and 24-karat gold reliefs form the covers. On the front cover, a carved profile of Julius Caesar evokes the classical iconography of ancient Rome.

Each copy is a singular editorial treasure—an exceptional fusion of goldsmithing, artisanal printing, and historical fidelity.

As with all D’ORO Collection creations, Giulio Cesare is defined as a “non-reproducible edition”: once the print run is sold out, every production element—from the bronze moulds to the original artworks—is permanently destroyed, ensuring the absolute exclusivity of the work.
