D’ORO Collection debuts in Qatar with Galeries Lafayette Doha
On 28–29 October 2025, D’ORO Collection made its debut in Qatar with an exclusive presentation in collaboration with Galeries Lafayette Doha. The showcase celebrated the artistry of fine bookmaking and the timeless allure of masterful book creations, bringing together Italian editorial excellence and the cultural richness of the Gulf.
The event was honoured by the presence of Mr. Federico Lorenzo Ramaioli, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy in Qatar, whose attendance highlighted the deep cultural and artistic dialogue between Italy and Qatar, and their shared reverence for craftsmanship and intellectual excellence.
During the unveiling, the General Manager of Galeries Lafayette Doha and Ali Bin Ali Fashion, Mr. Kevin Gerard Pender, noted that the collaboration offers customers and visitors a journey into the world where literature meets luxury.
Within the refined setting of La Suite, guests were invited on a rarefied journey into the Publishing House’s editorial universe: an atelier of the book, where memory, identity, and artistry are transformed into timeless works. A curated selection of emblematic volumes was presented, each embodying the fusion of centuries-old Italian craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic vision.
The debut also featured a special project conceived as a tribute to Qatar National Day: a book designed to narrate the nation’s heritage — from Bedouin and seafaring roots to the modern skyline of Doha, from traditions and national symbols to the culture of hospitality and the architectural journey from the Souq Waqif to the city’s iconic towers. This volume, a promise of bespoke projects to come, may also evolve into a family heritage book, preserving memories and values as works of editorial art.
